Short of riding a BMX as a kid (who didn't), I have no experience of watching BMX races. Oh and the obligatory watching of Shanaze Reade's success at the last Olympics. Anyways, I wanted to take the kids to something different, and knowing the BMX World Championships were taking part in Birmingham, off we went. And it was great. Fast paced action, a little repetitive, maybe – my 3 year old son said the best bit was "when they fall down" which is maybe a bit harsh, but that's where some of the excitement lies. Also helpful for proving to him that's why you have to wear a helmet when you ride a bike. Anyway, right now, I'm watching the Red Bull live video stream back home.??
