Blackberry Cake

Yesterday I made Hugh’s Blackberry Upside Down Cake which is very good, but all the more so for the fact I picked the blackberries out of roadside hedgerow around Wednesbury. Sadly, lots of the blackberries had dried up, after going unpicked, but there were still a few ripening on the branches. In case you’re interested, I got most of them round Victoria Street, on the walk down to the Metro, even better when you think Morrisons would be charging £2 for about the same amount.
