Festive cheer and days off.

It turns out I have quite a lot of time to take off before the end of the year – don’t mean to be smug. So, have been enjoying house pottering and taking in the festive cheer around Wednesbury and Birmingham. The German Christmas market is in Birmingham at the moment and very popular…

I also went to visit Compton Verney the other day, which was very nice. It’s a big stately home / gallery type place in the country, set in lovely grounds. They have a good exhibition based around the art of ‘the nude’. Snigger.

Oh and we went to Walsall Art Gallery which has an interesting exhibition at the moment involving crochet covered ceramic dogs, amongst other things.

And finally, we have a Morrisons now in Wednesbury, which opened last week. I have spent far too long already wandering slack jawed at the aisles of delights, this being the town’s first real supermarket – last week alone I was there five days in a row.
