Great Birmingham Tram Disaster

On Wednesday I was one of the victims of the now legendary Great Birmingham Tram Disaster, when vandals threw rubbish bags onto the power lines from a bridge and “brought down” the tram I was riding home. It was actually pretty scary at the time because no one knew what was going on, and it sounded like something heavier, maybe breezeblocks being dropped onto the roof. The lines came down, the tram stopped and everyone had to get out and walk up the tracks to Handsworth. Joy.
